It started with a simple question:
“Why is it so hard for foreigners to find activities and fun traditional Korean?”
You see, it always came down to the same thing,
people voicing that they didn’t know where to look or that they were afraid as first time travelers.
Despite the growing global love for Korean culture, from K-dramas to hanbok to temple rooftops, many travelers and expats still struggle to with where to find activities.
Information is scattered. Booking can be complicated.
So we wanted to offer something genuine and special by looking at hands-on cultural experiences.
As many beautiful Korean Arts are still rather unknown.
Krafty Korea was created to change that.
We connect people to the heart of Korean culture through content and curated craft workshops and meaningful group experiences.
At Krafty Korea, we believe in slowing down, creating with intention, and discovering new worlds through tradition. Whether you’re visiting for a week or living here long-term, we help you explore Korea through the hands and eyes of its artisans.
For explorers: Book authentic workshops and experiences with Korean artisans [pottery, knots, painting, calligraphy, and more].
For artisans: We support your work with digital tools, marketing, and global exposure, so you can focus on your craft.
For Swiss culture lovers: We organize themed group trips from Romandie to Korea, filled with handmade memories.
Authenticity: We don’t focus on commercial fluff. We strive for real, rooted traditions.
Accessibility: We break the language and tech barriers so you don’t have to.
Empowerment: We help artisans grow sustainably, in ways that feel right to them.
Cultural exchange: We believe culture is meant to be shared. Respectfully and joyfully.
Creativity meets tech: Our tools are modern, our spirit is timeless.
We’re starting in Seoul, with a vision to grow across South Korea and beyond.
Our goal? Help artisans reach global audiences. Grow our community. And build the most beautiful home for traditional crafts online.
If you love Korea, craftsmanship, and stories that lasts; we’d love to have you with us.
Welcome to Krafty Korea.
Let’s craft something meaningful together.
We conducted a survey amongst 60 Korea travellers. Here's what they think about Krafty Korea!
“I think its an amazing idea that is missing in Seoul. Would be amazing also to include the discovery of whats outside Seoul. Tourists tend to visit only Seoul and Busan but there is much more. The connection with local will be the most valuable part, but I know the language barrier is an issue in Korea, but with a young translator I think it's doable. Depends on the costs also.”
